Alabama’s Jay Montana Releases Visuals For “Taking It Back”

Coming out of Mobile, Alabama’s is rising star Jay Montana who’s back with his latest music video to his single “Taking It Back”. This release ended a two-month hiatus that saw the productive youthful MC have some time off from releasing music, yet is presently back in project mode, hinting at a mixtape for the previous half a month now. “Taking It Back” features production from the architect of the Mobile sound, Al Geno, who can be credited maybe more than any other person with the acoustic-controlled instrumentals that his city's sound has become inseparable from.

This is perhaps Montana's best execution yet as a singer and lyricist and bands the whole track with shrewd bars and contemplative verses, and the director and editor, Shifty, worked hard rejuvenating the visual by featuring a portion of the track's most noteworthy verses inside the video. Shifty is ostensibly the most invigorating new videographer in the Atlanta scene, blasting onto everybody's radar two- or three-months shooting recordings because of his incredible result and meticulousness.

Be on the lookout for Jay Montana’s upcoming project The Vulture 2. In the meantime, listen to “Taking It Back” out now on all streaming platforms, and watch the visuals below.
