After a year long delay, the artist of the decade, Drake finally released his highly anticipated sixth studio album, ‘Certified Lover Boy’ early this morning. The 21-track album has become the talk of all social media, as expected. One of the track’s getting the most buzz is “Way 2 Sexy” featuring Atlanta hip-hop gurus Future and Young Thug. Apart of the rollout, all of the features for the album were announced via billboards in the artist’s respective cities, so a billboard in Atlanta stated that both Young Thug and Future would be a part of ‘Certified Lover Boy’.
“Way 2 Sexy” marks the second time Drake, Young Thug, & Future have shared a track as a trio. The first was “D4L” that was featured on Drake’s throwaway project, ‘Dark Lane Demo Tapes’ released in 2020. The track is produced by Too Dope & TM88 and it features a sample from the 1991 song “I’m Too Sexy” by Right Said Fred. The music video is directed by Dave Meyers who has experience with directing films, which explains why the visuals are cinematic. The music video is similar to “Life is Good” in terms of the multiple settings and characters being played. The visuals also feature an unusual cameo from L.A Clippers superstar Kawhi Leonard. The unusual part is that he is seen dancing in all white on a snowy mountain. We see an overweight & aged Drake, Drake as Rambo, a cologne commercial for “Wet by Drake”, and much more. The music video is one of the most funny, creative, and theatrical visuals we’ve seen this year.
