Drake Delivers the Visuals For “Knife Talk” With 21 Savage & Project Pat

by Noah Soria on November 08, 2021

Thursday night, Artist of the Decade & Toronto star Drake came through with his second visual off his September album, Certified Lover Boy. With the first video being for the Future & Young Thug-assisted “Way 2 Sexy”, Drake is back with the official video for “Knife Talk,” featuring 21 Savage and Project Pat. Drake made the announcement just under two hours before its release. Releasing the Halloween-inspired video on the same day as Kanye West’s Drink Champs interview has fans speculating that the two artists are still sabotaging each other’s release dates. It may just be a coincidence.

The Metro Boomin & Peter Lee Johnson produced track’s visuals are directed by Pablo Rocha. The video draws motivation from old thrillers, as it incorporates shots of zombies and talking dolls, as well as several homicide scenes.

The track was originally slated to be on 21 Savage’s album, however, Drake ended up with it. After embracing the “Lover Boy” facade the last 18 months, Drake gives us a polar opposite side of him, which goes hand & hand with the track’s theme. The visuals for “Knife Talk” are out now via YouTube, and Certified Lover Boy is out on all streaming platforms.
