On Friday, Louisville’s EST Gee dropped the music video for “Misery Loves Company” on the same day as ‘Bigger Than Life Or Death Part 2’ - a new project with 8 brand new tracks that’s already climbing the rankings - to follow up his chart-topping debut album ‘Bigger Than Life Or Death’ that dropped this past July.
“Misery Loves Company” is a perfect example of EST Gee’s gritty sound and unapologetically street-oriented style - jam packed with savage one liners, clever wordplay, and insular jargon that makes it clear he knows what he’s talking about… and nearly impossible to follow if you don’t. The deceptively simple piano-led trap instrumental (produced by a dream team of Murda Beats, TnTXD, and J Diesel) has Gee’s ominous vocal and brutally vivid lyrics front-and-center as he delivers unrelenting street bars one after the other like you’ve never heard before.
The video for “Misery Loves Company” (directed by Diesel Filmz) puts Gee’s impressive jewelry collection, distinct fashion sense, and fiercely loyal inner circle on full display - more than ever looking like the final boss for gangster rappers in 2021.
