Houston’s Maxo Kream Links Up With Tyler, The Creator for “Big Persona”

by Noah Soria on September 14, 2021

Houston’s Maxo Kream has become one of few survivors from the SoundCloud era still thriving with his music career. However, after the release of his 2019 studio album Brandon Banks, Maxo has remained fairly quiet, while still releasing singles and feature verses here & there while remaining relevant these past couple of years. Following the success of his July single “Local Joker”, Maxo Kream looks to continue his success, this time with the help of Tyler, The Creator for their track “Big Persona”.

“Big Persona” marks the first collaboration from Maxo Kream and Tyler, The Creator, who is having as good of a 2021 as anyone. Tyler is still riding high off the momentum of his DJ Drama-narrated album CALL ME WHEN YOU GET LOST. After Maxo Kream posted to his Instagram (hilarious & typical Tyler behavior) text messages of the two set up the collaboration, it's revealed that Tyler sent a package of beats, so this may not be the only piece of work we'll get from the duo.

On “Big Persona” Tyler continues his rampage of rapping, followed by a strong Maxo Kream verse, as the two are seen in the music video posted in front of multiple Rolls Royce’s flaunting their expensive jewelry with Maxo’s posse. The track is out now on all streaming platforms with the music video is out on YouTube.
