JGreen teams up with fellow Florida boy Hotboii for a brilliantly executed gritty, melodic street ballad, “Never Switching Sides”.
JGreen is an exciting, emerging Florida talent known for his soft spoken, melodic style and hard-edged street lyrics. “Never Switching Sides” is a perfect introduction to his signature style, showing the progression of his unique brand of hip hop and enlisting the complimentary melodic style of Orlando’s, Hotboii.
The TyLott TV directed visual perfectly complements the Florida street lullaby - alternating between a posse-cut, coffee shop scene where J and HotBoii take turns on the mic delivering their verses backed by their respective entourages, and what appears to be a crew-on-crew paintball match - a favorite pastime of Florida youth.
JGreen first exploded onto the scene with his 2018 breakout viral hit, “Rugged”. Between the shocking thumbnail of a babyfaced JGreen holding a rifle bigger than he is, and his captivating sing-rapping style over a west-coast beat - the Worldstar Hip Hop premiere quickly caught fire and has since been viewed over 25M times.
From there, he connected with his manager and formed 510 Music Group - eventually adding on emerging Philly talent, OZ Sparx, whose own gritty melodic style fits perfectly in line with JGreen’s. In 2019, J followed up with his first official project, ‘Soul On Ice’ featuring standout tracks like “Slimey” and “Bonne N’ Clyde” and then ‘510’ in 2020 - a project loaded with bangers including “Influence” “Be This Way” and “Teach Em Something” - each of which has amassed well over 1M views/streams. In 2020, JGreen also dropped the remix of “Rugged”, enlisting west coast big dog, Mozzy for a dope verse on the updated version of his breakout hit.
JGreen is back in 2021 with new music and big features - in January dropping his collab with Jackboy, “All On Me” and in June dropping “Fed Up”. Now, with “Never Switching Sides” featuring one of Florida’s favorite new acts - it looks like JGreen is gearing up for a big year.
