Lil Maru is “On The Block” in His Latest Visual

Lil Maru has emerged as one of the melodic artists to watch coming out of the west coast, and a staple in this new wave of San Diego hip-hop. In a scene with artists that also includes Lil Weirdo, Young Rich, 22GFay, and Alo Bandz, San Diego has risen as a city with their own independent sound. 

Lil Maru is young, and doesn’t necessarily have an abundance of music out. However the music he has released thus far has moved fast, and has become an artist with high inquiries for features. His latest single is titled “On The Block '' with an accompanying music video, a track that pays homage to his hometown of San Diego. The MILSHOTZ directed music video shows Maru doing right by the song title. He’s seen posted up in the nearby liquor store, and supporting his local ice cream truck. Maru’s smooth cadence on west coast beats makes him an artist to look for going forward.
