Meek Mill & Fellow Philly Native Lil Uzi Vert Team Up For “Blue Notes 2”

Meek Mill has made it clear that the wait for new music is over, and he’s back like Jordan with the #45 jersey. It’s been almost three years since the 2018 release of the Grammy-nominated album ‘Championships’. After several loose records/EPs scattered throughout the last couple of years, it seems that the Philadelphia artist is finally ready for the lead up to his next studio album. Just last week, Meek Mill teamed up with hip-hop superstars Lil Baby & Lil Durk for the long awaited track “Sharing Locations” which is currently blowing up more and more. Meek wastes no time to keep up his momentum, this time teaming up with fellow Philadelphia native Lil Uzi Vert, who has become a frequent collaborator over the years. The Philly duo linked up for their latest single “Blue Notes 2” with accompanying lyrics.

The xander. & Nick Papz produced track acts as a sequel to the 2016 track “Blue Notes” which was an album cut on the project ‘DC4’ that had great success after the release of the success. The sequel shares the same theme with a blues guitar instrumental. Meek Mill and Lil Uzi Vert take turns sparring off on the beat. Like most Meek Mill music videos, this one has an action movie type of vibe to it. The visuals were directed by Kid Art. The two artists shot the video in their hometown, and you can tell by the way they mob the streets by popping wheelies with their ATVs. “Blue Notes 2” will only build even more anticipation leading up to Meek Mill’s next studio album.
