Baltimore native, Shordie Shordie has had himself quite the 2021. After teaming up with platinum producer Murda Beatz back in February for the joint project Memory Lane, the “Bitchuary '' artist looks to finish his 2021, just like he started, with momentum.
For his latest single, Shordie Shordie calls on Blxst for “Specific,” with an accompanying music video. Blxst, a Los Angeles native has been one of the hottest rising artists in the game. After being a XXL Freshman, among other accomplishments, Blxst has become an artist of high demand for features. With both of these artists having similar career trajectories, and both having melodic styles, despite different sounds, makes this collaboration a perfect match.
For the Whipalo-directed music video, the two artists head back to school for the cinematic visuals. After watching this music video, the Gallery Provence made cover art for the single make a lot more sense. Both artists are seen in the video pursuing the same girl, but in the end both of them are disappointed.
The DJ Vision & Bandz produced, “Specific” is Shordie’s first release since dropping his joint project Memory Lane, so hopefully this is the lead single to an upcoming body of work in the near future. The track displays the strengths from both of these melodic MCs, and the fans should be hopeful for more music from the two. “Specifc” is out now on all streaming platforms, with the music video posted below.
