Vory releases the visual for his popular track, “This Side” featuring Landstrip Chip off his self-titled project, VORY - his first official release since joining Meek Mill’s Dream Chasers Records last year.

The highly produced, smoking hot Sara Lacombe-directed music video for “This Side” takes us behind the scenes of a night out with Vory and Landstrip Chip at an extremely well-staffed strip club. Despite Vory’s refrain of “ain’t no dealing with that drama on this side” - this establishment seems to have its fair share.

Vory continues to impress with his unique brand of moody, melodic hip hop that already sounds at home in the music landscape today. The bass-heavy production on “This Side” perfectly compliments Vory’s signature reverberated vocal and unique melodies - expertly setting the stage for Landstrip Chip’s complementary flow and his own signature affected vocal.

“This Side” is one of several standout tracks off his self-titled project released in December. Other notable tracks from the project are “CC Interlude” and the perfectly executed collab with Meek, “Ain’t It Funny” - which already appears to be a runaway hit with over 4.1M views on Youtube.

If you don’t know Vory… well, you actually do. In addition to being one of the hottest emerging artists in the game out of Meek Mill’s Roc Nation imprint Dream Chasers, Vory is a Grammy-Award winning songwriter whose worked with some of names you might be familiar with. Vory has songwriting credits on tracks like Drake’s “Mob Ties”,  Post Malone’s “On the Road,” and DJ Khaled’s “Celebrate” - not to mention received a Grammy for his work on THE CARTERS’ EVERYTHING IS LOVE – which won the award for Best Urban Contemporary Album in 2019.  Did I mention Vory is 23 years old?

You may have heard of a little song called, “Don’t” by Bryson Tiller? Another little known, legendary fun fact about Vory is that he got his start in music after moving from his native Houston to Louisville, Kentucky as a teenager. It was there that he connected with another hugely talented, soon-to-be groundbreaking artist named Bryson Tiller. The two were both developing their experimental melodic sounds which eventually led to the song “Don’t” - on which Vory has a co-writing credit and you can even hear his vocals - and multiple credits on Tiller’s debut album, Trapsoul.

Overall, Vory is proving to be a serious problem with several hits on his hands and more accolades than most veterans - living up to the title of “the industry’s best kept secret.” It’s hard to say exactly what’s next for Vory (I think he likes it like that) but the future is bright.

With the momentum building behind Vory’s unique brand of melodic hip hop, surely lots of big things are on the horizon. Definitely check out the smoking hot video for “This Side” featuring Landstrip Chip below. Also worth checking out, his recent collab with up-and-coming artist out of Dyckman, NY Rae Stacks, who managed to grab Vory for a dope single titled “Nobody”. You’re definitely going to want to stream the self-titled project, VORY, and be on the lookout for more visuals and music throughout the year.
