Teaming up with Cactus Jack signee Sheck Wes, 2 of YSL’s most promising artists bring you the second single from the upcoming collaborative project Slime Language 2. “G.F.U” (Get Fucked Up) hones in on simplistic southern production, sampling Project Pat’s 1999 song Sucks On Dick; incorporating grainy film stills and a vibrant red aura throughout the video. Three incredibly unique verses are delivered, each driving their own point home on getting fucked up. Taurus, Gunna’s producer and DJ, produced the track and makes a guest appearance in the video as well.
It’s refreshing to see a feature from the Mudboy himself, having dropped some singles such as #BEENBALLING and Rich One Day towards the end of the year 2020. Sheck Wes has seen some rising success since his debut album “Mudboy” , released on Travis Scott’s new label Cactus Jack Records in late 2018. No word on his upcoming sophomore album, but Sheck continues to bring his own gritty, NY sound to any record he is invited on and stays consistent.
Though we don’t have an official release date on Slime Language 2 from YSL’s very own Young Thug, the first lead single Take It To Trial was released on December 17th, 2020 by Thugga featuring Gunna & Yak Gotti. Both singles seem to be tiding fans over that cannot wait for a new YSL project. Looking at both recent singles however, it seems like we’re going to be getting a good mix of work from the YSL roster and as well as some prime features.
