YS CONTINUES RUN & TAKES HIS TALENTS TO DETROIT IN “CHANCES” VISUAL

by Noah Soria on October 12, 2021

YS has been on an incomparable run, especially looking at the landscape of this new era of the West Coast. Just a few weeks after releasing his collaboration with Louisville slugger EST GEE "Play 4 Keeps", YS continues his momentum with a new single titled "Chances" with accompanying visuals. As YS keeps up with his status as Compton's most reliable wordsmith, he shows why he can't be set in a box musically.

While YS has an affection for piano-initiated California style beats or Detroit style synth beats, this Helluva instrumental makes them test his versatility. This theatrical style seems like the score to a scene in 'BMF' the series where Big Meech escapes and starts another life, instead of ceding Continuing Criminal Enterprise charges that will presumably make them serve the rest of his normal life in prison. Much the same as Big Meech, YS says "I'ma roll the dice with my life I'ma chance it, Glock .45 keep it on me, I can't freeze, water on my neck don't slip, jewels moving”. It is amazingly fitting that this Little Nate composed visual is shot in a charmingly consumed piece of Detroit.

Stay tuned for more YS and Helluva music as their collaborative project "Realer Than Real" is set to release later this month.
