Johnny Hardwick, Voice Of Dale Gribble From ‘King Of The Hill’ Dead At 64

On August 8, 2023, police arrived at Hardwick’s house for a welfare check and found him dead at the scene. The police are not currently investigating the case as a homicide. The medical examiners will determine the cause of death and share the information with the public once it is obtained.

The news came as a shock to viewers who loved the show ‘King of the Hill,’ as well as his conspiracy theorist character, Dale Gribble. The show had plans to be rebooted on the streaming platform Hulu.

Hulu reached out to the media to express their condolences for the beloved actor.

“Johnny Hardwick was an incredibly beloved member of the ‘King of the Hill’ family, whose tremendous talent, brilliant humor and friendship will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to work with him over the past 25 years,” they stated.

“Our deepest condolences go out to his friends and family as we mourn the loss of one of the animation greats. His voice gave life to one of our most iconic characters, and he will be truly missed,” they concluded.

Hardwick’s beloved character, Dale Gribble, was a fan favorite. Mike Judge, the co-creator, sends his condolences to the departed voice actor.

“I am deeply saddened by the loss of my friend Johnny Hardwick. He was a great writer, actor and comedian, and he will be deeply missed,” he said.

Johnny Hardwick has voiced over 250 episodes of ‘King of the Hill’. The voice actor was also a musician and had a YouTube page where he sang songs and played the piano.

Hardwick’s comedic timing will be sorely missed, and his voice will live on in our hearts forever.
